"New showroom opened in an old district of Guangzhou, in southern China, Maó Space is a fluid and rarefied shopping space articulated on three levels. One Fine Day Studio & Partners, the architectural studio that curated the project, have conceived it as a personal reinterpretation of the sense of time, which is identified by a succession of different fragments in a neutral environment, dominated by shades of beige and gray.
Halfway between contemporary ruinism and primitivism, the few furnishings also show a reflection on time, embodying explicit pop quotes from past civilizations - such as Capitello and Serie Attica by Studio65, produced by Gufram - or express their ethereal character through slender, suspended forms, as for Olivier Gregoire's Fold chair."
